Pine Shuttering Plywood
Our WBP shuttering plywood is designed to be highly resistant to water and moisture, using either phenolic or T1 melamine resin. This makes it highly resistant to water, preventing it from delaminating or warping when exposed to moisture. It is suitable for a variety of applications where exposure to moisture is a concern, including construction, outdoor use, and marine applications.
We produce using Radiata Pine for its relatively straight grain, making it easy to cut, shape, and work with. This can save time and labor during formwork installation. While not as strong as hardwoods, radiata pine still possesses adequate strength and durability for most formwork applications. It can withstand the pressure of poured concrete without deforming or breaking.
SMOOTH SURFACE
Radiata Pine is lighter than many hardwoods, which can make handling and transportation more manageable for construction crews. It can provide a reasonably smooth finish on concrete surfaces, which is essential for achieving the desired appearance and quality of the final concrete structure. The softer nature of Radiata Pine can make it easier to remove from concrete after it has set, reducing the risk of damaging the concrete surface.
